According to reports, a former CEO of Amazon Mexico, Juan Carlos Garcia, has been accused in court of hiring two hitmen and killing his ex-wife, Abril Pérez Sagaón. On June 6, 2022, the executive was accused of hiring two hitmen and paying them around $9,000 to murder his wife in November 2019. The woman was shot in the head and neck by a man who was reportedly on a motorcycle. The news has become a hot topic on the internet and has been discussed by everyone. Let us check more information about the matter here.

It has been stated that Juan Carlos’ wife, Abril Sagaón was seated in a car while driving through Mexico City when a man on a motorbike opened fire through the passenger-side window and shot her in the head and neck. Now, it is reported that the CEO is accused of having his ex-wife killed by paying those hitmen. Besides, he has also been accused to offer another $2,500 if the hitmen murdered her before her next court hearing in a case that she had filed against him.

Earlier, Abril had accused her husband of attempting to murder her while the couple was still together. Before the trial for her case could begin, Garcia fled to the US. According to Pérez’s evidence in court, she was asleep at their shared residence in January 2019 when she was woken up by a blow to the head, as reported by El Pais. She claimed she saw Garca standing in front of her, with a baseball bat.

Abril then testified that she was stabbed in the cheek with a sharp object and that Juan attempted to strangle her before their kid pushed Juan away and Pérez was able to flee through a window. Garca was temporarily detained before being released after a court determined that there was insufficient evidence to prove he intended to murder her. The accusations were classed as familial violence by the judge.

Following her assassination, the CEO wrote a letter to Mexico City Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum, claiming his innocence. “As a father, I would never want something like this to happen to my children, which has harmed them and changed our lives,” the accused wrote. Let us add that she was traveling with her attorney and her two underage sons on November 25, 2019, when she was shot in the head and neck by two men. No one else in the car was injured but Abril Pérez Sagaón died.
