Her full name is Rosalia Vila Tobella. She was born on September 25, 1992 in Sant Cugat del Valles, Catalonia, Spain. Her mother is of Catalan descent and her father is of Asturian descent. She also has an older sister named Pilar “Pili” Vila who is a creative director. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Catalan.
Rosalia started studying musicology at the Catalan Conservatoire at the age of 13 after becoming fascinated by Spanish folk music. She also performs at music bars and weddings.
She began dating Spanish musician C. Tangana in 2016. However, in May 2018, they split. She later dated Puerto Rican musician Rauw Alejandro in late 2019. They’ve been together ever since.
