Who is Edward Steele?

A tragic update on two missing children after a two-year-old boy was found wandering near the train tracks where his one-year-old brother was found dead.

The father of two boys from Ukiah, Calif., reported him missing at around 1:20 p.m. Wednesday

The one-year-old brother, who was two, was found wandering near the train tracks and the one-year-old was later found.
Around 4 p.m., the sheriff’s office found the 2-year-old boy alone and “in trouble” thanks to a tip.

He appears to be suffering from heat-related symptoms, according to authorities.

Police said the boy was taken to Adventist Health Ukiah Vally Hospital for a “life-threatening medical emergency”.

About 20 minutes later, the one-year-old brother was found dead on the tracks near where the two-year-old boy was found.

The children were being cared for by Edward “Two Feather” Steele, 32, at a nearby motel, according to police.

investigation

Steele, who has been named as a relevant person in the investigation, is believed to have information on the boys before police located them, authorities said.

A sheriff’s spokesman said Steele was not the father of the children, The Mercury reported.

Police were able to find Steele and take him into custody after he was thought to be hiding from them.

After Steele was found at the Hopland Ranch, members of the Hopland tribe contacted police.

Before the children went missing, police were called to a parking lot in Ukiah after a pre-dawn report of domestic violence.

Police said Steele was in the parking lot with a woman he had been dating.

When the woman spoke to police, she said her two children were with a nanny at a nearby motel.

The woman was later arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic violence, according to police.

Police then believed that Steele had taken over the children after the woman was arrested, The Associated Press reported.

Investigators also learned that around 4:50 a.m. Wednesday, a man was walking with two young children, who police believe are Steele and their children before they disappeared.

A report was made to the police, but when they showed up, the three were nowhere to be found.

Police arrested Steele on suspicion of murder, according to multiple media reports.
