Paul Freshour, you all must have heard this name somewhere or the other, because this name created many headlines in the past few decades. It was the late 1970s when this got into headlines. His name was in the headlines but all for wrong and negative reasons. In the late 1970s, the residents of Circleville Ohio complained of receiving Anonymous threatening letters.
The residents of Circleville were scared and threatened upon receiving these letters. It was Paul Freshour’s estranged wife who came out of nowhere and claimed that these threatening letters are being sent by Paul Freshour. No one could believe this at first because Paul always maintained a distance from this news and portrayed it like he has nothing to do with this case. Paul Freshour grabbed the attention of the police officials in the year 1977 when the residents were getting these threatening letters. The first victim who received this threatening letter was Mary Gillispie. Mary was a school bus driver and she was married to Ron Gillispie. The letter stated that Mary was having an affair with the school superintendent and she should end up this relationship.
The letter also threatened the life of the daughter of Mary Gillispie. At that time Paul was married to Karen, who was the sister of Ron Gillispie. Later in the August of the year 1977, Ron died a major car crash. Under his lifeless body Police officials also found a gun. Ron had gotten a phone call that had threatened and angered him. Ron talked to his daughter and said that he will confront the writer of the letter and the caller. Many people thought that Rob had killed the writer who was writing the threatening letter, but the police officials didn’t find any evidence regarding that and thus they didn’t believe in that. Ron had received the threatening letter and was found dead some days thus everyone was scared and the police were doing their best to find the culprit behind these deadly intentions.
In 1983 Mary Gillispie stopped on a road to take out an obscene sign, while doing that she noticed that it was rigged with a twine box. To her surprise, she also found a handgun device in that box. The serial number on the gun revealed the identity of the owner and it was the friend of Paul Freshour, his friend claimed that he sold this gun to his friend Paul. Paul was detained by the police officials after his wife Karen came out and revealed that Paul is the person who is sending these threatening letters. Paul stated to the police that the gun was stolen from him. Although there was no evidence that he set the trap for Mary in finding the gun although the Prosecutors were accusing Paul of writing threatening letters. Although there was enough proof to confirm that Paul was the culprit for attempting murder. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison by a judge. Paul died back in the Year 2012 after suffering a heart attack. He was 70 years old at the time he breathed his last.
