Umahi declares Thursday, Friday public holiday –

The Ebonyi state government has declared Thursday and Friday public holidays for civil servants and civil servants.

The order is intended to encourage civil servants and public servants in the state who have not yet opted for a Permanent Voter Card (PVC) to obtain their Permanent Voter Card.

Umahi disclosed this in a statement signed by Information and State Direction Commissioner Barr. Uchenna Orji Monday.

The statement read: “Considering INEC’s nationwide deadline for the collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), the Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency David Nweze Umahi FNSE FNATE CON GGCEHF, Chief Engr, has declared a public holiday of two (2) days from Thursday 26 January 2023 to Friday 27 January 2023 for all civil servants and all primary and secondary schools.

“This is to enable the good people of Ebonyi State who have not yet collected PVC to go to their respective local government INEC PVC collection centers to collect their PVC, bearing in mind that the last day for PVC collection is Sunday 29th January 2023.

“Please always accept His Excellency the Governor General’s respect and best wishes”.
