The Dark and Tragic Side of Golden Girls Paris Hilton’s Life
Paris Hilton has sworn she had nothing to do with the release of the infamous sex tape.
In her recently released Paris: A Memoir, the former IT girl explains why those who knew her knew she was never a part of it.
“The lighting would be better,” he wrote. “I’ll have the right hair, makeup and wardrobe. The camera angles and cuts will be more flattering.”
Hilton astutely noted that she “wouldn’t have bad enough taste to dedicate a pornographic film to the victims of 9/11”. (Seriously. What the hell does that mean?)
The “Simple Life” actress recorded a video with then-boyfriend Rick Solomon in 2001 when she was 19 and he was 31.
He never mentioned Solomon — a former poker pro who was twice married to Pamela Anderson — by name, instead describing him as “fat, arrogant” and “for a man going through the most self-destructive state of her life.” The perfect man for the girl of the moment.”

Hilton, 42, revealed that she barely remembers the night after the party, except that Solomon “used to say he was with other women … he pushed.” I kept making excuses. “
Solomon told her, “It’s just for us to see, no one else is going to see it. Then he told me that if I didn’t he would easily find someone who would, and that was the worst thing I could think of Thing, because I was a silly kid who couldn’t play, and this grown-up game was dumped by this grown-up”.
The author of Confessions of an Heiress also admits she wants to “live sensually”.

While she’s been called a sex symbol, Hilton admits, in part because of her horrible time at a boarding school for troubled teens, she was “scared of sex” and “hated” the idea.
Desiring intimacy, she loved kissing, she wrote, but “panicked” if it led to sex, sometimes leading to her being called “apathetic” or “teasing” or accused of “faking it.”
The “Stars Are Blind” singer wrote that friends were talking to her about orgasms, “and I was like, ‘Of course. It didn’t even exist. I thought it was something from the movie.’

Some of the tapes were released while she was promoting “The Simple Life” in Australia.
Within hours, word was flying around about the tape, along with rumors that a full-on porn movie would follow.
Hilton called Solomon and begged him not to release it.

“It sounded distant and grim,” he wrote, “to say it was too late, it already existed. He said he had every right to sell what was his — something of great economic value.”
The former social worker said the release of the video was devastating and caused great distress to her family.
“It cost me a fortune to release this movie,” he wrote, “and more importantly, it ruined my family. And it will never go away. He was there for my children, who always Will face him one day.”

Hilton also detailed her time at Provo Canyon School in Utah, a controversial boarding school and “youth therapy center” for troubled teens.
She claims to have experienced physical, sexual and psychological abuse there, and even testified about it before the Utah State Senate in 2021 — leading to reforms to residential youth care.
Hilton’s parents, Rick and “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kathy Hilton, sent their older child there for her regular sneaking out to New York nightclubs — a frequent appearance on Page Six.

“Sometimes the party goes on all day and when I get home I find my mom sitting on my bed crying,” she wrote.
Lodging remains a touchy topic among the Hilton family.
“The decision to send me was a difficult one for my parents,” she admits. “They didn’t show me any documents [from it] …We all live with this brutal legacy in the best way we know how, and they express regret in their own way.

“For a long time, I just wanted to hear them say, ‘Sorry, we made a terrible mistake.’ But they haven’t. Maybe they never will. That’s okay.
The former model also revealed that as a middle school student, she was groomed by an eighth grade teacher who called her almost every night to tell her she was “very mature, beautiful and intelligent”.
The teacher “Mr. Abercrombie” prepared it, Hilton wrote, explaining that Priscilla Presley was 14 when Elvis “fell in love with her.”

He ended up at her house while her parents were away and the two kissed – eventually being caught in the car by her parents.
In a recent interview with Glamour, Hilton also revealed that when she was 15 years old, she was raped by a man she met at a Los Angeles mall.
“I dreamed that he was lying on top of me, covering his mouth and saying, ‘You’re dreaming, you’re dreaming,’ and whispering in my ear,” she said.

Hilton also wrote about her first serious boyfriend, model Jason Shaw. They were engaged in 2002-2003.
“I love Jason and we’ve talked about spending the rest of our lives together, but I know I’m not right for that commitment,” she wrote. “It’s not about him…I just can’t be honest or loyal or whole.”
When Hilton got pregnant, she was “paralyzed with fright.”
As a Catholic who grew up, Hilton said she struggled with the decision to have an abortion but knew she “made the right choice.”

“I was dealing with physical and emotional issues at the time and trying to go ahead with the pregnancy was a disaster for everyone involved,” she wrote. “At this point in my life, I simply cannot be a mother.”
Hilton finally found a happy ending with venture capitalist Carter Reum, 42, whom she is wed in 2021. The couple announced the birth of their first child, a son named Phoenix, on social media in January.
