Leeds United beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-2 in a dramatic Premier League game on Saturday.
White took an early lead through Jack Harrison, who side-footed home from Wilfried Genunto’s drop-back.
Leeds United then scored twice in the second half to establish a seemingly unassailable 3-0 lead.
Luke Ayling doubled the Whites’ lead in the 49th minute with an unmarked header past Jose Sa.
Just after the hour, substitute Rasmus Christensen stripped Jonny of control and headed into the corner of the net.
The Wolves defender then made amends with a volley in the 65th minute to keep his side alive.
Matheus Cunha then sent the visitors wide in the 73rd minute, setting off alarm bells for the visitors.
However, the hosts found themselves in a bind after Jonny was sent off for a tackle on Ayrin.
Rodrigo Moreno scored his 11th goal of the season late on, flicking the ball past a charging Sa.
“I’m not sure how”
Although Leeds scored two goals, the defense was also good.
For example, Max Wober provided a solid display for his team.
He made some big moves in the game and was unfortunate to see Wolves’ second goal fall on his heels.
A block by the 25-year-old drew praise from Sky Sports pundit Michael Dawson.
In the 27th minute, Nelson Semedo tried his luck and Waber blocked the ball near the baseline.
“It was a fantastic performance from Wolves,” he said in an interview football saturday (18/3/23, 15:28).
“I’m not sure it wasn’t 1-1. It was an unbelievable block. Wolves dominated the game.”
Wober’s brilliant performance gave Leeds the all-important three points.
