Senate urges IGP to investigate disappearance of NSCDC Deputy Commandant in Bayelsa –

The Senate has asked the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to investigate the sudden disappearance of Raymond Gaadi, Deputy Commander of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), who was supposed to arrive at the Bayelsa State Command Missing.

House of Lords resolution follows motion by Senator Emmanuel Orker -Jev
Alarmed by the disappearance of Deputy Commander Raymond Gaadi, he was sent to Enugu to reinstate Bayelsa state, but never took office.

The lawmaker said the deputy commander had issued a warning that the officer he was supposed to replace not only refused to hand over but threatened him.

He added that he disappeared two days after the deputy commander sounded the alarm that his life was threatened.

Jev lamented that since October 29, 2022, the authority of the NSCDC has shown little concern for the matter.

Therefore, the Senate decided to urge the NSCDC Commander to conduct an internal investigation into the matter.

Lawmakers also urged the police chief to launch a full criminal investigation into the disappearance of NSCDC Deputy Commander Raymond Gaadi.
