The Professional Fighting League begins its playoffs in New York City on Friday, and this year’s PFL 7 card features semifinals between lightweight and lightweight contenders.

Former UFC and WEC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis leads the way, and he has a chance to take revenge on regular-season rival Steve Ray. Ray made a shocking submission for “Showtime” earlier this year. The rematch will see the winner advance to the Million Dollar Final.

On the other side of the bracket, Canada’s Olivier Aubin-Mercier was paired with Alexander Martinez. In the light heavyweight bout, teammates Omari Ahmedov and Josh Silvera faced off on one side, while Rob Wilkinson and Deran Mount clashed on the other.

On Thursday, the card lost weight, with all the key players gaining weight. The PFL Lightweight and Lightweight Semifinals will be broadcast live on ESPN and ESPN+ on Friday, August 4, 2022.
