Rod Stewart cancels Australian concert due to ‘virus infection’

Rod Stewart has revealed he canceled a concert in Australia with Cindy Lauper and Jon Stevens due to a “viral infection”.

‘Hello My Friends’, British rock star He wrote in a statement on Instagram Saturday. “I’m very upset that I failed the fans who bought tickets to A Day On The Green.”

“Later this morning I was told I had the virus and my throat was too sore to sing,” added Stewart, 78. “I’m just human and sometimes I get sick like you.

“My greatest joy is performing for you, so I’m doing everything I can to recover and get back on stage!”

Stewart’s Instagram comments were filled with well wishes from fans around the world.

“Get well soon dear Rhodes, good health and please take care of yourself 🙌,” added another.

“Come on Rod! We totally get it! We all want you back soon and looking your best xxx” – commented a third support

“Feeling better, Rod. Your [sic] excellent.don’t sit down [sic] little things. You first! ’ wrote a fourth fan.

The “You’re On My Mind” singer announced the cancellation via his Twitter account the day before.

However, he did not reveal at the time which artist was ill or how the illness would affect their upcoming shows.

“Live Nation and Roundhouse Entertainment regret to announce that Rod Stewart, Cindy Lauper and Jon Stevens will be canceling tonight’s performance at the Dunes Estate in Geelong due to illness,” Stewart wrote in a statement. Official Twitter Page Friday night.

“We sincerely apologize for the disappointment and inconvenience caused to ticket holders,” the statement added.

“Another announcement regarding the tour schedule will be made early next week.”

The Sixth Party reached out to Stewart’s representatives but did not immediately hear back.
