‘RHOSLC’ Star Jen Shah Won’t Be Interviewed by Andy Cohen
Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah won’t sit down with Bravo host Andy Cohen to discuss the aftermath of her time in prison.
“I wouldn’t go 1-1 with Andy Cohen and Bravo,” the 49-year-old convicted fraudster admitted. Post on Instagram on Thursday.
Shah claims she passed up the opportunity because the network was allegedly “unwilling to remove the terms of the contract.”
The reality star said she wanted to avoid “misinformation” on “RHOSLC” about her “history related to any topic, before and during my involvement.”
Shah has been on the hit improv series since its premiere in 2020. Season 3 just wrapped up, and the first part of his reunion — which doesn’t include the struggling Bravolebrity — airs on Wednesday.
“That particular one-on-one interview wasn’t part of my contract with the reality show RHOSLC,” she continued. “I promise myself and my dear family that I will not allow this part of my life to be sensationalized or inaccurately reported.”
Shah added that “too many people have been hurt by my actions” and “have no control over my own narrative”.
“I’d rather keep quiet and wait until I can accurately share my story than continue to spread complete lies and disinformation about me in the headlines,” she explained.
Shah ended her post by promising to have an opinion in the near future. “You will learn from me,” she wrote. “I will be sharing my story and this tumultuous part of my life soon.”
Bravo had no comment when reached by Page Six.
Cohen, 54, told SiriusXM’s Andy Radio earlier this month that he was looking forward to a potential interview with Shah.
“I hope to speak to Jen this weekend,” the Real Housewives chief said on Jan. 9.
“I hope that this meeting [interview] Take a picture with her and hand it over to you. I really wish I did. ”
Cohen’s comments came just days after Shah was sentenced to six-and-a-half years in prison for organizing a nationwide telemarketing program primarily targeting vulnerable seniors.
Shah, who faces up to 14 years in prison, apologized to the victims and their families after a New York court hearing.
“I’m sorry,” she said tearfully, looking at her husband, Sharrieff Shah, and their sons, Sharrieff Jr. and Omar.
Jen claimed her actions “violated” her core values of “humility, loyalty and respect” before acknowledging that her actions “hurt innocent people”.
Her sentence is scheduled to begin Feb. 17 at a federal prison in Texas.
