Remaking ‘Jurassic Park’ would be a mistake, according to the director of ‘Jurassic World Dominion,’ but he wishes him luck.

The story that began in Jurassic Park was continued in the Jurassic World trilogy. It is not a remake or a reboot of the original Steven Spielberg film, despite having many nostalgic moments and homages to it. Colin Trevorrow, the director of Jurassic World Dominion, believes that remaking Jurassic Park would be a mistake, and he feels sorry for whoever would be given the job.

The new trilogy’s final chapter is called ‘Jurassic World Dominion.’

In 1993, the franchise began with Jurassic Park. The Spielberg film, which was based on the Michael Chrichton novel, introduced viewers to characters such as Dr. While also providing some incredible visual effects for the dinosaur, Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) With the subsequent sequels, the franchise began to lose steam, but Jurassic World saved it from extinction.

Jurassic World showed fans a fully realized version of the park that John Hammond had envisioned. The characters of Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, on the other hand, should not have dismissed the original park’s outcomes. Despite this, Jurassic World and its sequel, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, made over $1 billion at the box office. Dominion is the final installment in the trilogy, as well as the franchise’s overall conclusion.

Remaking ‘Jurassic Park’ would be a mistake, according to director Colin Trevorrow.

Even though Jurassic World Dominion is billed as the franchise’s final installment, this isn’t a guarantee. It’s unclear what direction Universal would take if the film does well and they decide to move forward. It’s possible that the franchise will be rebooted in its entirety.

Trevorrow, who directed both the first and most recent Jurassic World films, believes that a reboot would be a bad idea. In an interview with Collider, Trevorrow claims that the only way to resurrect the franchise is to remake Jurassic Park, and that no one can match the 1993 Spielberg film.

“I’m just expressing my own personal viewpoint.” One of the franchise’s challenges is that in order to reboot it, Jurassic Park must be remade. And I pity whoever gets that job because it’s one of the best films ever made. So, in many ways, I believe that moving forward and expanding is our only option. Best of luck remaking Spielberg and Crichton.”

While there were some similarities between Jurassic World and the original film, new characters and a unique atmosphere helped to reintroduce the franchise to a new generation.

The franchise’s final chapter is being dubbed Dominion. Given the box office success of these films, it’s unlikely that Universal won’t try to find new ways to tell new stories in this universe.

Trevorrow is correct in stating that making a sequel to Jurassic Park that is as good as the original would be nearly impossible. Studios, on the other hand, are frequently preoccupied with whether or not they can, rather than whether or not they should.

On June 10, Jurassic World: Dominion will hit theaters.
