Two brothers are facing multiple firearms charges after a “very large” amount of firearms and ammunition were allegedly found at a home west of Montreal, according to the RCMP. Officials also allegedly found neo-Nazi material inside the residence.

The RCMP said the CBSA had information that indicated the defendants purchased several weapons online from legal and illegal sources and sold them on the black market.
Jordan Madden, 29, of Vaudreuil-Dorion, and his brother Joshua Madden, 31, face seven counts related to possession, storage, trafficking and transfer of firearms, the RCMP said Thursday.
“Collaboration between Canada Post and the RCMP identified a pattern of suspicious activity involving packages sent to Jordan and Joshua Madden from the gun and military equipment store,” police wrote in a news release.
It took police three days to execute a search warrant due to the large number of guns and ammunition at the residence on Aquin Avenue in the Montregie region of Quebec.

During the November 30, 2022 search, the RCMP also found extremist material “inspired by neo-Nazi ideology.” Charles Poirier in an interview with CTV News. No charges have been brought against the alleged material.
“Because of the presence of these two factors — an ideology that could lead to violence and the presence of guns — that’s why our national security team was tasked with investigating this matter,” Poirier added.

Police seized a total of 37 firearms, weapons parts and military accessories, and more than 10,000 rounds of ammunition. They also found about 200 high-capacity magazines.

“We were a little surprised to find such an operation and such an arsenal in this quiet neighborhood. So it was very important to us,” Poirier said, adding that police believed the weapons were being sold “for profit” across Canada .
Both defendants are scheduled to appear in Valleyfield court on Friday.
