Peter Obi, Alex Otti will win in Abia -APC chieftain, BB Apugo predicts –

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Board of Trustees (BoT) and National Caucus Member from Abia State Chief Ochiagha Benjamin Apugo predicted that Labor Party Presidential Candidate Mr Peter Obi and the party’s candidate for Governor in Abia State, Alex Dr Otti will win the state in the upcoming general election.

Apugo made this clear in a press statement provided to reporters in Abuja on Sunday. In the statement, he had nothing to do with a report linking him to the support of APC candidate Ikechi Emenike in Abia state.

Apugo further explained that he does not support any political party in the 2023 general election, but supports individuals with achievements.

He said: “Chief Ikechi Emenike and his team paid me a courtesy visit as party chief to inform me about his gubernatorial ambitions and the proposed visit of APC presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Umuahia, Abia State. .

“I emphatically told Emenik that the APC would lose the Abia State Governor and Presidential elections and reiterated my support for Abia State Labor Party Governor’s Candidate Dr Alex Oti and his Presidential Candidate Peter Obi Strong support of Mr.

“APC will lose miserably in Abia state. PDP is dead. I support Oti. I don’t support him (Emenik). I told him APC won’t win because there is nothing to show APC people. So , forget the endorsement.”

Apugo gave his reasons for supporting Obi and Otti, saying: “If you look at my political history, you will find that I have been associated with people of high morals and integrity, so I support Otti and I believe he will develop this Governor of the land”.

Apugo said it was politically irrational to support a party that cannot repair the strategic Umuahia-Ikot Ekpene road and the Umuahia-Ohafia-Aro chukwu road separately, and insisted that both the APC and the PDP had failed the Abians and should be rejected outright .

The elder statesman, widely respected for his candor and firm stance on key national and state issues, insisted that Oti was the only prominent figure in the Abia state governor’s race with the capacity and enthusiasm to develop the country, And emphasizing that although he is the national caucus of BOT and APC, the development of Abia including Ibeku land is crucial, so he decided to support the former managing director of Diamond Bank.

When reminded, he also vehemently dismissed anti-party ideas.

“What is an anti-party? What I told you is correct. They have done nothing here. I said impatiently. As far as my position with the APC is concerned, nothing. I am not talking about myself. I even Didn’t get a single contract from them. Not a single one has worked in 8 years. So, what are you talking about against the party? They know what I say is true. They didn’t do anything to my people here. In my hometown Abia state capital, they did nothing. There is no federal presence,” he said.

Apugo also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC for its Bimodal Voter Authentication System (BVAS) innovation and asked Abia voters to come out and vote for Oti for Governor and Obi President on Election Day for the development of Abia and Nigeria . The era of big, emphatic election fraud is over.

“First of all, electoral law does not allow anyone or give anyone the opportunity to rig an election. All you can do is buy votes, which is also a crime under the law. So, if you think someone is going to rig an election, I doubt it. If they To rig elections, they’ll rig elections in other states too. Here, when we’re hopeless, we’re ready to die instead of thinking we’re alive. So boys and girls will protect their votes. Men and Women will protect their votes and we will vote for the best. I don’t think money will fix this election. Who are you giving money to? Are you giving someone closer to the grave? He’s dead and you give him back money. He wants to be resurrected, he wants to be reborn,” stressed Prince Ibeku.
