Pep Guardiola compares key Gunners feature to ‘best team in Europe’

Guardiola has compared Arsenal’s style of play to Napoli, widely regarded as the most entertaining side in Europe at the moment.

With Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Victor Osimhen leading Luciano Spalletti’s stunning Napoli side, it was Guardiola’s huge compliment to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

Arsenal are strongly considered by many to be the most aesthetically pleasing team in the Premier League, with many likening them to the ‘Centurions’ side of the 2017/2018 season.

But coming from one of the greatest managers of all time, the Gunners’ camp should be filled with smiles and deservedly so.

Not only in terms of entertainment, but even in terms of integrity, the Arsenal team Guardiola clearly admires could be tied with Napoli as the best team in the world this season.

Like the Serie A winner-elect, Mikel Arteta’s side will play a possession-based style with quick, direct wide players such as Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli Combined, this can be quite a headache.
