Pedro Porro sends one-word message to Sporting after knocking Arsenal out of Europa League

Tottenham Hotspur defender Pedro Polo has been stunned after watching Pedro Goncalves score a stunning goal against Arsenal for Sporting Lisbon.

If any Tottenham player wants Arsenal to lose to Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League tonight, it’s likely to be Poirot.

The Spanish full-back, who left Sporting Lisbon for Tottenham Hotspur on transfer deadline day in January, remains in love with the Portuguese club.

Poirot was pictured with sports players and staff at their London hotel this week, before reuniting about six weeks after leaving.

It would be great for Porro to see his old friend again, and you can’t blame him for wanting to be part of tonight’s festivities…

Pedro Polo celebrates Athletic’s win over Arsenal

Many people support Arsenal to advance to the quarter-finals of the Europa League through this game.

A 2-2 draw in Lisbon last week meant Arsenal had home advantage in the second leg, making the Gunners favorites for the title.

Granit Xhaka’s first-half goal gave Arsenal a 1-0 lead before a rather stunning equalizer.

Pedro Goncalves picked up the ball in midfield and launched a brilliant attack on Aaron Ramsdale and netted.

Sports fans were outraged, but it was just a dress rehearsal for a bigger celebration to come later.

Sporting Lisbon sent the game to extra-time and eventually won on penalties, with Antonio Ardan saving from Gabriel Martinelli.

Arsenal is out, Sport is out and Pedro Polo absolutely loves it.

polo on twitter Tweeted just three words after Goncalves wondergoal, posting “what a goal” along with the heart-eye emoji.

After the shootout was won, Porro added another message. For Sporting, tweet “Parabens” – which translates to “Congratulations” in English.

Poirot attached a series of green heart emojis to the message, showing that he still loves sport – and his newfound loyalty to Tottenham only made the evening even sweeter.
