PDP blasts Tinubu over remarks on new Naira notes, fuel scarcity –

Atiku/Okowa presidential campaign slams All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying some are trying to sabotage his presidential ambitions by redesigning naira bills and fuel shortages

tinub, Addressing party supporters during an APC campaign rally in Abeokuta, Ogun state on Wednesday, he claimed some were hoarding fuel and plotting a redesign of the naira note to undermine his ambitions.

However, in a statement issued by its spokesperson, Kola Ologbondiyan, the group said Tinnub was using intelligence from Nigerians to try to rid himself of President Muhammadu Bhumi. The failure of Muhammadu Buhari’s government.

It claims the former Lagos state governor is behind Buhari’s government’s bad policies to weaken the country over the past eight years.

“Our campaign team is saddened that Asiwaju Tinubu sought face-saving measures ahead of his disastrous election defeat, shed crocodile tears and claimed to redesign the naira note and the fuel crisis of the APC government,” the statement read. He has reported that they have been corruptly seeking benefits in a plot to sabotage the 2023 election.

“It really says a lot about the character of Asiwaju Tinubu, that despite his reported heavy involvement in the oil sector corruption that led to the fuel crisis, he pretends to care about the suffering Nigerians are going through only because it is starting to affect his political aspirations in life.

“Furthermore, it is clear that Asiwaju Tinubu regretted the Naira redesign only because the policy foiled his vaunted plot to use slush funds, which he reportedly hid in secret vaults to buy votes and Manipulative schemes, including alleged funding of mobs to undermine the integrity of the 2023 presidential election by creating a Jagaban army

“Of course, only politicians who always rely on gold wagons to win elections are bothered by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) redesigning the Naira’s monetary policy.

“Even more reprehensible is that months after the end of Buhari’s government, Asiwaju Tinubu is now trying to distance himself from a government he told the world that he only came into office because he wanted to dupe Nigerians and get them to vote.

“It must be said that the Nigerians who are going to travel long distances to vote are patriots who have been suffering the pain imposed on them by the Asiwaju Tinubu government.

“The campaign says Tinubu should know that Nigerians can see through his antics and deceit, and that his diversionary drama on fuel and new naira notes cannot currently affect Nigerians.

“In any event, Asivaju Tinnub’s lament shows that his presidential ambitions have crumbled.

“Therefore, our campaign recommended that he withdraw from the race before Waterloo, which was crushed by the People’s Democratic Party presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.”
