Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, said he will continue to promote the friendly relations between Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse II and Ologbotsere, Chief Ayiri Emami.
Oba Ogunwusi made this statement when he visited Chief Emami at the latter’s residence in Warri, Delta State, shortly after his meeting with Ogiame Atuwatse II.
Ooni of Ife said that Olu of Warri deserved the cooperation of all in his kingdom, and likewise described Chief Emami as a peace lover who was always eager to preserve the culture of the Itsekiri people without blemish.
He said: “We all know that and I don’t shy away from it, the question for me is that they continue to strengthen the relationship, the unity and the progress of the whole of Itsekiri, the people of our new king.
“I just left Ogiame Atuwatse now. I said I was coming to see Ayiri. He was very happy. I’ll be honest with you, there is no problem between the two of them. Please quote me, I mean two of them.
“For the advancement of the entire Wari Kingdom, they have grown stronger. For the glory of God, I played my role well.
“Ologbotsere, keep doing what you’re doing. You know what to do. It’s a gift. You don’t want anything to tarnish your heritage. You may know him for his philanthropy, but to me, He wouldn’t joke about Wari traditions.
“I don’t go to private homes. God has chosen the king. You love the kingdom above all else and you have a beautiful heart that many may not know.
“Ologbotsere, you will live long. The spirit of our ancestors will continue to bless you.
You will continue to find peace. Much abundance you will continue to have in Iwere. May God be with you and protect you. ”
