Monessen School Shooting: Amari Altomore was Identified as victim killed in Monessen School Shooting

Amari Altomore was the victim, according to Facebook posts from the Monessen High School football coaching staff. Altomore was a lineman for the football team and a junior at the high school.

The Monessen adolescent who was shot on Tuesday night has passed away. According to Westmoreland County 911, a caller reported seeing gunfire on South 14th Street on Tuesday at 8:15 p.m. When they came, the emergency personnel discovered a teenager who had been shot in the chest.

He was taken to a hospital in Pittsburgh right away for treatment, but he tragically died. The 16-year-old boy’s death was ruled a homicide by police. Police Chief David Yuhasz asserts that there are still lots of kids he wants to talk to and that the probe is far from over.

This is a developing story.

Investigations are still on.
