Arteta added that the situation “doesn’t look good” as Beverly didn’t exaggerate the injury, leaving Arteta and Arsenal “concerned” about his injury.
“We don’t know. Doctors are evaluating,” Arteta said. “We had an assessment and I think they’ll need another assessment tomorrow. It doesn’t look good. Tomi’s not one to exaggerate things. He’s really concerned and we are too,” he added.
Beverly is a versatile defender who can straddle the back four and is an important line-up option for Arteta and Arsenal.
Hopefully, Beverly will return from injury as soon as possible, but Arsenal are likely to be without the defender for the rest of the title race, which is a real blow to the Gunners.
