According to reports, Marseille is interested in signing struggling Arsenal left-back Nuno Tavares on a loan deal.
Tavares joined Arsenal in a £7.2 million transfer from Benfica last summer.
With starting left-back Kierney suffering from injuries, the 22-year-old was given more game time than he probably expected last season.
Tavares was hit and miss for the Gunners.
Going forward, he’d appear energised. But he was frequently exposed on the defensive.
And according to Lions de l’Atlas, Tavares may be given the opportunity to develop on loan in France.
Marseille is thought to have approached Arsenal about the left-back.
For the 2022-23 season, the Ligue 1 runners-up want to loan Tavares to them.
Arsenal has already made contact with Bologna regarding the signing of Aaron Hickey, a highly regarded Scotland international.
Last season, the left-back, who is 20 years old, made 36 appearances for the Italian side.

Hickey tallied five goals in a row.
Mikel Arteta’s side, on the other hand, may have to contend with West Ham United of the Premier League.
With long-serving left-back Aaron Cresswell advancing in age and Arthur Masuaku proving unreliable, David Moyes is looking to bolster his defensive ranks.
According to some sources, Hickey is worth £21 million.
