MAPOLY gets new registrar, polytechnic librarian –

The Management Board of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta has approved the appointment of Ms Olubunmi Olubukola Elewodalu and Ms Basirat Olayinka Akintunde as Registrar and Polytechnic Librarian respectively.

Both appointments are for a non-renewable five-year term, effective retrospectively, from Monday, December 22, 2022.

With the appointment, Mrs. Elewodalu becomes the sixth and second female Registrar and the first female Registrar from the Remo District of Ogun State.

She succeeds Mr. Emmanuel Adeleye, who will retire on 21 December 2022.

Elewodalu joined the Polytechnic in 1996 as Administrative Officer I and worked his way up the ranks.

Prior to her appointment, she was the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs at the Polytechnic since 2019.

She graduated in Mass Communication from Maiduguri University, Borno State in 1992.

She studied at the prestigious University of Ibadan and obtained her first degree and master’s degree in Managerial Psychology and Educational Administration in 2008 and 2019 respectively.

Mrs. Olubunmi Elewodalu is happily married to Mr. Austine Elewodalu, an experienced journalist.

Likewise, Ms Basirat Olayinka Akintunde, a Chartered Librarian licensed by the Librarians Registration Commission of Nigeria (LRCN), joined the Polytechnic in 2002 as a Librarian.

She obtained her first degree in Islamic Studies (BA) at the University of Ilorin in 1992 and entered the University of Ibadan in 2001 for a Masters in Library and Information Studies.

Currently, Ms. Akintunde is a PhD student in Information Resource Management at Ilishan Remo Babcock University, Ogun State.

Prior to her appointment, she was Acting Director of the Polytechnic Library.

Mrs Basirat Akintunde is happily married to Mr KA Akintunde.
