Invicta FC returned to action on Wednesday night in Denver, Colorado, with Invicta FC 52 leading the strawweight title fight.
In that bout, Valesca Machado attempted to defend her strawweight title for the first time against Ireland’s Danni McCormack. “Tina Black” won the Invicta FC 50 last year, winning two fights in one night to claim the gold medal and win the 115-pound tournament to advance to.
McCormack also competed on the same night, winning the title with a victory over Mayila Mazar in her promotional debut. The former Bellator athlete was looking forward to her first shot at Wednesday night’s big promotion.
