Love Island news makes GMB’s Richard Madeley cringe, as do fans.

As the first Love Island contestant was revealed on Good Morning Britain, Richard Madeley openly cringed.

The 66-year-old was forced to share news about the Love Island 2022 line-up yesterday (May 30) while hosting the morning show with Charlotte Hawkins.

“It’s not just the weather that’s heating up over the next few weeks because summer officially begins with the nations favourite dating show,” Charlotte, 47, said as the iconic Love Island tune began playing in the ITV studio.

Richard sighed deeply and knelt in his hands.

“Perhaps the music will reveal something… “Yes, Richard, it’s back with a bang,” Charlotte joked, as her co-host said, “Oh, god.”

Richard hesitantly said, “Yeah, here we go.” after Charlotte finished her announcement. I’m sorry, but I’m not feeling it today. I’m sure a lot of you are big fans of Love Island…”

“We’re going to see another batch of singletons heading to Mallorca in search of what they hope will be their perfect match,” he continued obstinately. Who’ll be the first to take a stand? “And who will be mugged?”

Richard let out a long sigh and buried his head in his hands as Charlotte announced the show’s return.
