“You can change the ink on the naira banknote. What you expect will not happen. We will win”
The All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Tinubu has said he will be elected Nigeria’s next president, despite attempts by some to undermine his chances in the Feb. 25 polls.
Tinubu made the assertion during a rally at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun state, on Wednesday.
He also said some saboteurs were conspiring to prevent the 2023 election from being held.
“Make fuel expensive, only they know where to put it. Keep the petrol, keep the naira, we will vote and be elected. You can change the ink on the naira notes. What you expect won’t happen. We will win, ’ said the APC standard-bearer in Yoruba.

“They say petrol will go up to N200/litre and N500/litre to put your mind at ease. They don’t want these upcoming elections. They want to spread it out, but it’s not possible.
“They think they’re going to cause trouble; they’re destroying fuel, but with or without fuel, with or without motorcycles and tricycles, we’ll all vote and win. It’s a higher revolution.”
“We will take over the government through our PVC. Even if they say there is no fuel, we will trek to the polls,” he added.
Nigerians have been bemoaning fuel shortages since President Muhammadu Buhari is the current oil minister, and prices have fluctuated between N180 and N500 across the country since then.
