As Vuitton hired a host of other ambassadors—including Sophie Turner, Emma Stone, Ana de Armas, Alicia Vikander and Chloë Grace Moretz—who were given the best seats, Zendaya was assigned just a front-row seat and Roach had none.
“I’ve been used to sitting next to her over the years. Yeah, it looks to me like my seat is right next to her. So when I get there, it’s not, you know, it’s not a problem, but no one tells Where do I really belong,” he explained, adding that looking at clothes next to each other has become a routine for the pair.

“So the seat behind her, when you see her turn around and touch the seat, she didn’t tell me to sit there, she told me, ‘This is Darnell’s seat,’ who’s her assistant. I’m not going to sit Darnell’s position,” Roach said of the viral video.
“It was really hard because people thought Zendaya didn’t care about me and weren’t sure if I was cared for.”
Roach said he joined Zendaya at the after party after the show, stressing that he has nothing to do with LVMH, the parent company of Louis Vuitton.
