Kyle Chrisley arrested in Tennessee for aggravated assault
Kyle Chrisley was arrested in Tennessee for aggravated assault, Page Six can confirm.
A spokesman for the Rutherford County Jail told CNN that the former reality star was arrested Tuesday on a felony charge.
Chrisley, 31, was released on $3,000 bond; however, he will appear in court on March 20.
According to TMZA “Chrisley Knows Best” graduate brandished a “straight knife” during an altercation with his supervisor at Penske Truck Rental, police say.
But his wife, Ashleigh Chrisley, told Page Six only: “That’s not true.”
“Kyle had a knife with him to work, but he didn’t pull it out, he didn’t swing it, he didn’t use it on this person,” she insisted. “He won’t plead guilty”
According to Ashleigh, Kyle got into an “alteration” with another employee while on the job.
“The other guy pushed him and made things physical,” he said. “This is self-defense on the part of Kyle.”
After the incident, Ashley said Kyle was “ordered to leave” and that he committed to carry it out, noting that an “arrest warrant was later issued for aggravated battery”.
“When Kyle was informed of the warrant, he reported it to the Smyrna Police Department,” he claimed, adding that “she paid the deposit immediately after booking.”
Kyle’s father, Todd Chrisley, and his stepmother, Julie Chrisley, are currently serving time in federal prison for financial crimes.
Before the couple began their judgment in January, Kyle published Matthew 7:3-5, which distracted people from judging others for their mistakes.
Todd, 53, will spend the next 12 years in a federal prison camp in Pensacola, Florida.
Meanwhile, Julie, 50, who had planned to spend the next seven years at the Marianas Federal Penitentiary — just two hours away from her husband — has been transferred to the federal FMC in Lexington, Kentucky.
After their release, they each had to serve a 16-month probationary period.
The Chrisleys were originally indicted on fraud and tax evasion charges in August 2019, and a new indictment was filed in February 2022.
Prosecutors accused the duo of being “professional fraudsters who made their living jumping from one scam to another, lying to banks, defrauding suppliers and evading taxes at every turn.”
They still maintain their innocence and announced an appeal.
In June 2022, Todd’s former business partner, Mark Braddock, claimed that the Chrisleys paid bribes to blackmailers to keep Todd and Braddock’s alleged affair a secret – Chris The Lee family also denied the claim.
