Kristin Cavallari ends dating athlete, wants to ‘make it a thing of the past’
When it comes to athletes, Kristin Cavallari is ready to throw in the towel.
The ‘Laguna Beach’ actress gets candid about her complicated love life in latest episode Back to the beach podcast. before finally admitting that she dated former USC quarterback Matt Leinart when she was younger.
“Matt is the nicest guy on the planet,” she told co-host Stephen Colletti. “He’s such a nice guy. But yeah, I dated him late last year when I was 18.
While Cavallari, 36, never revealed the name of her mystery boyfriend on the hit MTV series, fans have speculated it was Leinart for years.
“He was a senior in his fifth year at USC. That year, he was on top of the world. I was so excited about it, obviously no chills. But it meant a lot to me.”
Colletti joked that Leinart was Cavallari’s “first quarterback” before he married and divorced Jay Cutler.
“OMG, my first quarterback. …I’ll say I’ve dated a lot of athletes in my time,” the founder of Uncommon James on letting her know which athletes make the best partners Said before.
“Here’s my deal. I dated a hockey player. For me, in my life right now, it’s more about the schedule. So baseball, they’re out all the time. Basketball, they’re not all the time There. Soccer makes sense. Hockey, they don’t usually do that, but it works.

Cavallari, 39, and Cutler, who married in 2013, have sons Camden, 10, and Jaxon, 8, and daughter Saylor, 7.
Still, Cavallari described her decision to file for divorce in 2020 as “the best thing that ever happened to me.”
“Being in a relationship where I’m really unhappy isn’t working for me,” she said on last year’s “Schools of Excellence” podcast. “And I knew early on that I had to.”
Since their split, the “Hills” star has been linked to comedian Jeff Dye, singer Chase Rice and “Bachelor” star Taylor Cameron.
