James Tavernier equalized in the 23rd minute and Saqqara put Rangers ahead shortly after the restart.

The Gers captain delivered a superb cross from the right as Saqqara beat Paul McGinn with a header.

“Perfect start to the second half for Rangers, it was a very effective goal,” said Miller (18 Mar 23, 13:39).

“A familiar source in James Tavernier’s right boot.

“Fashion Sakala, given his size, is very, very strong in the air.

“He got past his defender at the back post and passed the ball to Liam Kelly.”

Bevis Mugabe equalized again just before the hour, but Todd Cantwell scored his first Rangers goal shortly after.

After the Ibrox rookie bounced back, Malik Tillman fired hard to seal the win at 4-2.

Callum Slattery finished well after being sent off for his second foul in the 76th minute.

Improve

It is undeniable that Saqqara performed poorly at the beginning of the game, but improved after the break and scored a crucial goal.

The Bears are hoping for more of the same from the Zambia international in the run-in.

The Rangers’ next game is on Saturday 1 April, after the international break.

Kick-off is 3pm as the Heat host Dundee United at Ibrox.

A week later, Rangers face Celtic in the Old Firm derby.
