Mohammad Sabiou – Kaduna
Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, Lieutenant Governor of Kaduna State, condemned the renewed killings in South Kaduna State.
She made this public when she led a Kaduna state government delegation to Zangon Kataf local government to express her sympathy to the people of the area.
Balarabe noted that the attack that resulted in the loss of several lives and the injury of many others was quite sad and unfortunate.
She further said that since last week, the Kaduna state government has been cooperating with the military and other security agencies to deal with this unfortunate situation.
The Lieutenant Governor directed the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to immediately conduct an assessment and provide assistance to affected citizens.
In response, the Emirate’s Supreme Ruler HRH Dominic Gambo Yayaha thanked the Deputy Governor and the Kaduna State Government for their visit.
He expressed sadness over what he said was an appalling violence, after a period of relative peace and after many positive efforts by many well-meaning individuals to promote peaceful coexistence among all peoples living in the chiefdom. Working hard.
The meeting was attended by Ms. Pheobe Sukai Yayi, Chief Executive of Kafanchan Municipality, and Mr. Francis Sani, Chairman of Zangon Kataf Local Government.
