Arsenal star Aaron Ramsdale won the Goalkeeper of the Year award at the London Football Awards on Monday night.
The Gunners keeper has been awarded the honor for his heroics for the north Londoners this season
Ramsdale has kept 12 clean sheets in the Premier League this season, conceding less than 1 goal per game.
His efforts helped keep Arsenal five points clear with 11 games to go.
The Gunners have lost just three of their 27 Premier League games so far this season, with another three drawn.
On Tuesday, Ramsdale accepted instagram To express his pride and honor for winning the award.
Many of his peers, including Reiss Nelson, Jude Bellingham and Dom Solanke, paid tribute to the Arsenal ace.
Ramsdale has been a revelation for Arsenal since his £30m move from Sheffield United in 2021.
Criticism emerged from several quarters when speculation surfaced that the Gunners were interested in the 24-year-old.
Ramsdale has been relegated with the Blades and Bournemouth, which has raised some concerns about him.
In addition, some people wonder why Arsenal already have Bernd Leno, so why spend so much money on a goalkeeper.
Fortunately, Mikel Arteta and Edu ignored all the hoopla to bring Ramsdale to the Emirates Stadium.
It didn’t take long for the player to replace Leno as Arsenal’s number one and he is now an indispensable player and a fan favorite.
It’s nice to see games recognize games too.
Both Ramsdale and Bellingham are in Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup. They both should have more games ahead of them.
As for Nelson, hopefully he can re-sign with Arsenal and become a key player. That’s as much as he deserves in N5.
