Jeremy Renner was crushed to death by a snowplow trying to save his nephew
Jeremy Renner was trying to save his adult nephew from a snowplow when the machine accidentally crushed the famed ‘Avengers’ star, according to an incident report from the Nevada Sheriff’s Office .
The “Hurt Locker” star failed to use his emergency brakes because his nephew’s truck started to slide after he used it to pull it out of the snow, according to a new redacted report from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office.CNN).
“The Pistenbully groomer began to spin, causing Renner to exit the vehicle without applying the emergency brake,” the report concluded.
“Although Pistenbully has some mechanical issues, based on our mechanical inspection we believe the parking brake will prevent Pistenbully from moving forward.
“When Renner attempted to stop or reverse Pistenbully to avoid injuring (his nephew), he was dragged under the vehicle by the tracks and ran over.”
The report also stated that the brake light was not working and that “a mechanical issue may have been the cause of this accident”.

Rainer’s nephew helped him while they waited for medical help to arrive and airlift him to a trauma center. His rep confirmed at the time that he was in a “critical but stable condition” and had suffered “blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries”, for which he underwent multiple surgeries.

“The 30+ broken bones will grow stronger and the love and bond with family and friends will deepen,” he wrote alongside a photo of himself lying in a hospital bed as doctors stretched his leg.
