Jasmine Jasudavicius vs. Miranda Maverick Booked for UFC 289

June’s UFC 289 pay-per-view fight doesn’t have an officially announced location, but it does have a first fight.

Multiple sources have confirmed to Cageside Press that Miranda Maverick (11-4) will face Jasmine Jasudavicius (8-2) in the women’s flyweight bout on June 10, 2023.

Jasudavicius is 2-1 inside the octagon so far and had a big win over Gabriella Fernandes at UFC Vegas 70 last month.The Canadian played in St. Catharines, Ontario, to earn the cut Dana White’s Contenders Series 2021.

Following his latest win, Jasudavicius, along with teammate Mike Malott, spearheaded the return of the UFC to Canada, which has not been there since the 2019 Fight Night event in Vancouver.

Jasmine Jasudavicius and Maverick actually agreed to a potential fight on social media after Fernandes’ fight, making the matchmaker’s job easy in this case.

Miranda Maverick has won both of her 2022 bouts, most recently a decisive win over Shanna Young in November. This is the second time the two have met. Maverick submitted Young as part of the Invicta FC Phoenix Series 2 tournament in 2019.

No other fights have been reported for UFC 289 on June 10, 2023, and no location or location has been announced — though there are rumors that date could involve a return to Canada.
