ITV Britain’s Got Talent Under Fire For Snubbing Alan Carr And Appointing Bruno Tonioli Judge

Actor and celebrity blogger Scott McGlynn slammed ITV Britain’s Got Talent After snubbing Alan Carr and appointing Bruno Tonioli as the new judge. The 67-year-old Italian choreographer and dancer will join Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon on the judging panel for the ITV talent show.

As auditions for Britain’s Got Talent began on Tuesday, Tonioli said: “Here we are, Britain’s Got Talent. I’m so excited. It’s my first show and I don’t know what to expect, but I’m sure it’s going to be great .”

In a new video, Welsh actor, author, LGBT activist and digital influencer Scott speaks out about the decision. “So I just found out that Bruno Tonioli is the new BGT Judge, I’m not thrilled about it,” he said. “We’ve seen Judge, literally. We’ve already seen him judge on Strictly.

“Like, it’s done. I really like Alan Carr. It’s just, he’s the funniest guy ever, and it’s awesome that he’s there. He’s with Amanda, and on that show they Do it together, I thought it would be them.

“I really, really wanted Alan Carr to be there. Like, come on. But I was wondering…is Bruno a guest judge, has that changed again? Because they do, don’t they? Or Destined for life? I hope not.”

Scott also supports Celebrity Skin Talks on Instagram, a series of interviews with celebrities about their skincare issues. Tonioli joins the lineup following the departure of former Judge Williams, who competed in the talent competition in 2012.

Last year, comedian Walliams, 51, apologized for making “disrespectful comments” to audition contestants during a January 2020 break in filming the hit show. The first round of auditions returned to the Palladium Theater in London on Tuesday, after weeks of speculation that Tonioli would replace Wallias on the panel.
