The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has postponed the collation of the results of the Ebony state gubernatorial election.
Announcing the news in Abakaliki on Sunday, Mrs. Ogechi Onyeka, the state’s Resident Election Commissioner (REC), said the commission would resume the election by 10:00 am on Monday.
She said: “For the one remaining local authority, we will take what it contains from the Results Review Portal (IReV).

“So we will allow them to look at the results table and come up with their results, and if it is not IReV compliant, we will cancel the local government. We have a meeting by 10:00am tomorrow morning.”
INEC has released results for 12 of the state’s 13 local government areas.
All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate Mr. Francis Nwifuru won 10 LGAs, while All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidates won one LGA each.
