Katsina State All Progressive Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate Dr Dikko Radda has been declared the winner of Saturday’s state election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
With 859,892 votes, Rada beat his closest rival, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Senator Yakubu Danmarke, who received 486,620 votes in the exercise.

State electoral director Professor Mu’azu Gusau, who announced the results on Sunday, said the total number of votes in the election was 1,386 to 427.
