The 61st-ranked Indian women face Jordan on Sunday and Wednesday before heading to Uzbekistan for an extra practice match the following week.
Jordan has been through challenges recently. They have won four of their last five international matches. In April last year, India beat Jordan 1-0.
The situation in Uzbekistan is equally dire. They have lost their last five international games but scored a staggering 30 goals. However, India’s most recent match was lost to Uzbekistan in April 2021.
India head coach Thomas Dennerby has selected a 23-man roster for the exhibition match.
India will compete in the first round of the AFC Women’s Olympic Qualifiers from April 4 to April 10. They are drawn in Group G with hosts Kyrgyz Republic and Turkmenistan.
The names of the Jordanian and Uzbekistan teams from their friends will be given to the football Olympic qualifying teams.
