Despite the snub, the pair dismissed any speculation that they weren’t getting along, as they were later seen embracing in the hotel foyer.

Former health secretary Matt Hancock will finish third in Westminster, facing furious colleagues, voters and questions about his political future.

The West Suffolk councilor surpassed many expectations by reaching the final, but trails champions, Euro 2022 winner Jill Scott and the Holly Oaks cast Owen Warner in a public vote on Sunday night.

The 18 days he spent in the Australian bush got him banned from the Conservative Party parliament and drew criticism from colleagues, including Rich Sunak.

The prime minister said he was “deeply disappointed” by his colleagues’ decision to leave his constituents more than 10,000 miles away for a reality TV show.
