The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Crimes Commission (ICPC) arrested four people suspected of buying tickets during the gubernatorial and House elections in Sokoto and Katsina states on Saturday.

She listed the suspects as Mahe Bello, Musa Adamu and Mustapha Mohammed.
A fourth individual, Tanimu Tabale, was arrested by the ICPC election monitoring team at the Tashar Yamma polling station in the Zango local government area of Katsina state.

“Mahe Bello was found to have N38,000 in cash, two PVCs, an ATM card and an Infinix phone, while Musa Adamu had 228,000 CFA and offered it to voters,” Ogugua said. The third suspect, Musta Mustapha Mohammed was arrested for possession of some PVC.
“The 35-year-old Tabale claimed he was an observer at the Makama polling station but was arrested at the Tashar Yamma polling station when he was trying to buy votes at the polling station with N20,000 in different denominations.”
