Globacom announced on Tuesday 20th December that Afolabi Job will be the next car prize winner in the ongoing Festive Festival promotion.
A number of other Glo users were also winners of rechargeable fans, generators and sewing machines at the awards event in Ibadan, Oyo state.
Mr. Akeem Yusuf, Sales Coordinator for Globacom’s Western Region, urged other Glo users to take part in the life-changing promotion, saying, “To take part in this promotion, voice and data customers just need to dial the dedicated short code *611# for a weekly top-up of N500 Chance to win a rechargeable fan, N2,500 monthly top-up for sewing machine, N5,000 monthly top-up for generator, N10,000 monthly top-up for car, N20,000 monthly top-up for house”
The 48-year-old car award winner, an employee of Oluyole Estate Zartech Farms in Ibadan, revealed that he used to own a car but lost it during difficult times.
“I used to drive my kids to school. When the car packs up, life becomes difficult. When I was discussing this morning with my kid, he prayed to God to give me another car next year. God didn’t wait until next year to answer him prayers because just two hours later I got a call from Glo,” he said.
Likewise, Mrs. Banke Arokoyu, 52, one of the winners of the rechargeable fan, praised Globacom for fulfilling the promises made at the launch of the promotion.
Additionally, Generator winner Damilare Emmanuel expressed his gratitude for the Digital Service Provider award, while one of the Sewing Machine winners, tailor Tobi Olanipekun was almost moved to tears as he said the machine was the answer to one of his most fervent wishes .
Lekan Alabi, Maye Senior Chief of Ibadanland, who was a special guest at the event, congratulated Globacom for keeping its word and keeping its users happy. He prays that the company will continue to grow as it delivers life-changing prizes to its customers.
