Director Colin Trevorrow Explains Why Tim and Lex from ‘Jurassic Park’ Aren’t in ‘Jurassic World Dominion’: ‘We Really Needed to Be Careful’

Jurassic World: Dominion is unlike any previous Jurassic World film. The third and final installment in the Jurassic World trilogy takes a different approach to special effects than the first two. Although the latest dinosaur trilogy has been largely self-contained, Dominion includes several characters from Jurassic Park. Tim and Lex aren’t in the movie, so the nostalgia train didn’t stop to pick them up. The reason for this is explained by director Colin Trevorrow.

Five characters from “Jurassic Park” return in “Jurassic World Dominion.”

Jurassic World Dominion is distinct in its own right, but it’s also the closest thing we’ve seen since the original Jurassic Park movie.

Dr. BD Wong (BD Wong) In all three Jurassic World films, Henry Wu reprises his role from the original. He’s not alone any longer.

Laura Dern (Dr.) was reintroduced by Trevorrow. Ellie Sattler), Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum), and Dr. Sam Neill (Ellie Sattler) are among the cast members of the film. Alan Grant) for Dominion, and they quickly fell into step like clockwork. Neill starred in Jurassic Park III, while Goldblum starred in The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Goldblum reprised his role as Malcolm in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, but the original’s stars have never appeared together in a Jurassic film before.

Lewis Dodgson makes a cameo in the new film. The character famously gave Wayne Knight’s character, Dennis Nedry, a fake can of shaving cream to smuggle the embryos out of Jurassic Park in the first film. Campbell Scott takes over the role of Cameron Thor, who was recast.

Why not include Tim and Lex, with so many Jurassic Park characters in Jurassic World Dominion? Trevorrow has his own set of reasons for his actions.

Why don’t Tim and Lex appear in ‘Jurassic World Dominion?’ says Colin Trevorrow.

Professor In the original Jurassic Park, Grant doesn’t always get along with the kids. So, when chaos ensues, he must navigate the park with Tim (Joseph Mazzello) and Lex (Ariana Richards), the park’s founder’s grandchildren.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Trevorrow wanted to avoid having as many guest stars as possible. It would have been overkill to bring back Tim and Lex, and the audience would have been distracted.

“Each of these characters consumes so much oxygen in every room they enter that we had to be extremely cautious and considerate.” I’ve always tried to keep track of when it starts to feel like a Love Boat episode or something similar. Where the question is simply, “Who is the special guest in this scene?” and we have five Jurassic Park characters. BD Wong appears in all three films, and he plays a significant role in this one. And when you consider that a movie like Jurassic Park probably had eight characters in total, five of them are in this film, that’s a lot.”

In Jurassic Park, the characters played by Mazzello and Richards were prominent, but they were not the story’s driving force. Bringing back Wong, Dern, Goldblum, and Neill seems like a better way to incorporate the nostalgia.

Since the release of ‘Jurassic Park,’ what have Mazzello and Richards done?

In Jurassic Park, Mazzello portrayed Tim, a curious youngster, and Richards portrayed Lex, Tim’s older sister.

According to IMDb, Richards appeared in The Lost World, a Boy Meets World episode, a Ben Folds music video, and Tremors 3 following Jurassic Park. Battledogs, a 2013 TV movie, was her most recent role.

According to IMDb, Mazzello also appeared in The Lost World and has a long list of other notable credits. He appeared in Simon Birch, The Social Network, and G.I. Joe: Retaliation, among other films. Joe: He starred as John Deacon in Bohemian Rhapsody and in the film Retaliation.

Will Mazzello and Richards return in a future ‘Jurassic’ film?

Trevorrow’s trilogy comes to a close with Jurassic World Dominion, but more Jurassic films may be in the works.

Chris Pratt, who plays Owen Grady in Jurassic World, compared the franchise to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, saying that it has the potential to grow and evolve with new characters, and he hinted that he might return if the series continues. Dominion marks the beginning of a new era, according to producer Frank Marshall (via SyFy), which sounds like a resounding yes to more dinosaur disaster films.
