Delilah Belle Hamlin ‘quietly struggles’ with chronic health issues
Delilah Belle Hamlin revealed in a candid Instagram post on Tuesday that she has been battling chronic health issues for years.
“I haven’t really talked about my health lately, if you’re new here you might be confused, but I’ve been battling autoimmune/chronic disease issues for the past few years and I’ve been quietly Fight and overcome these issues,” the 24-year-old model wrote in her Story, which featured a picture of her dripping water on her arm.
“It was very tough mentally and physically,” she continued. “I kind of kept quiet because I didn’t want to be put in the ‘sick’ role.”
That being said, Hamlin shared that she has learned about her resilience in tough times.
“I’ve faced a lot, overcome a lot, and I know I’ve been through it for a reason, and that reason is to share with you what I’ve been through and what I’ve learned,” she wrote.
Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin’s eldest daughter then shared a quote from missionary Joel Osteen.
“When you’re stressed out, it’s because you’re stronger than you think,” the line begins. “You’ll never find out how strong you are until you’re faced with pressures you’ve never faced. It might seem unbearable, but the fact that God allowed it to happen means you can handle it.
“He’s not saying he’s going to make you run away, he’s telling you to ‘bear’ . . No matter what comes your way, you can always bear it.”
Delilah concluded by thanking Los Angeles-based Dripp IV Therapy, which provides fluids and medication, for “helping” her.
The social media influencer has battled health issues for years.
In 2021, she was hospitalized for an accidental Xanax overdose. The celebrity’s descendant says he became addicted to the drug that was originally prescribed to her to help her with a number of ailments.
“I’m not like a drug addict, but my body is addicted [Xanax] Because of how much medicine my doctor prescribed,” she said in November.
Delilah said she has continued to battle multiple health issues since she started having “left and right” seizures this summer due to encephalitis.
She also claimed that getting the COVID-19 vaccine in February caused “the autoimmune response in my body to basically explode and trigger some autoimmune disease that I didn’t know about.” (The CDC says the vaccine is safe.)
In February 2022, Delilah celebrated six months of sobriety following her overdose.
She also suffers from mental health issues and went to rehab twice in 2018 to battle anxiety and depression. In 2021, she shared on Instagram that she wants her parents to pay for trauma treatment.
