The third week has a name Dana White’s Contenders Season 6 That’s sure to catch the eye.
Apologies to Bellator vet Jamal Pogues, GLORY kickboxer Anvar Boynazarov, and LFA standout Clayton Carpenter, all of whom are very good fighters, and the 1-0 Bo Nickal is sure to keep fighting fans engaged.
1-0 fighters usually don’t need this kind of attention. Only boxer Danyel Wolf and former NFL star Greg Hardy have had similar experiences at DWCS in the past few years. But Nickel is an honored amateur wrestler, an NCAA champion who has trained with the likes of Jorge Masvidal on America’s top teams.
A three-time Division I NCAA champion and three-time Big 10 champion, Nickal’s wrestling pedigree is second to none — though he proved his craft in a short career that included several amateur bouts.
The weigh-in for the latest instalment of the Dana White Contenders Series wraps up Monday morning at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. Check the results below.
