Chelsea held transfer meeting with agents of ‘very special’ Arsenal target this week

Chelsea have held talks with representatives of Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia, with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal interested.

According to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavoliericlaiming Lavia is now the subject of “intense” attention from Chelsea.

Chelsea want to “speed up” a move for Lavia ahead of the summer transfer window, it is claimed.

A meeting with representatives of Lavia was allegedly held in Belgium last week.

this fits talk about sportsClaims Chelsea are increasing their interest in signing Lavia.

Arsenal also interested in Romeo Lavia

Chelsea are far from alone in the race for Lavia. That’s likely why they’re so keen to move faster right now.

According to the Daily Mail Both Arsenal and Manchester United were interested in signing Lavia earlier this month.

Both clubs are on the lookout for a midfielder this summer and have been linked with Declan Rice.

Lavia could be seen as an alternative target this summer after showing real promise against Southampton.

Pep Guardiola, Mikel Arteta’s mentor, is a big Lavia fan at Manchester City; perhaps the Arsenal boss thinks he can fit in with the Gunners.

Chelsea could win this game, like Mykhailo Mudryk

Arsenal could be interested, but it does feel like Chelsea are the obvious favorites for Lavia’s signature.

Only weeks after Lavia joined Southampton last summer, Chelsea tried to sign Lavia from Southampton and proposed a huge deal that was rejected by Southampton.

Recruiting chief Joe Shields left Manchester City for Southampton last summer and took Lavia with him.

With Shields now at Chelsea, it would make perfect sense for the Blues to go after Lavia again now.

Player hailed as ‘very special’ by SanchoLavia, just 19, has already shown great potential to join Enzo Fernandes in Chelsea’s midfield.

The Blues beat Arsenal to sign Mihajlo Mudrick in January and are starting to feel they can do the same with Lavia.
