The offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the Obinwa Local Autonomous Region, Abia State, were invaded by mobs.
This was revealed in a statement on the official Twitter page on Sunday, March 19, 2023.
INEC said it had notified safety agencies.
“Mobs have invaded our local government regional office in Obingwa, Abia State,” the post read.
“Security agencies have been alerted. The council is monitoring the situation and will issue a statement shortly.”
