The former Tottenham Hotspur striker believes Alexander-Arnold is still a top right-back and would do well under manager Pep Guardiola if he leaves Liverpool for Manchester City.
The talkSPORT pundit had his say on the 24-year-old England international right-back when discussing his midweek Champions League clash with Liverpool against Real Madrid.
Alexander-Arnold has not been at his best this season, especially defensively, and on £160,000-a-week (pay campaign) right-back struggled again with the defending European champions.

In our opinion, Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold will get better in the next few years and we don’t think Anfield fans should have any concerns about him leaving Manchester City.
Granted, Alexander-Arnold did struggle in Spain against Real Madrid on Wednesday night.
The 24-year-old has not played all season.
However, Alexander-Arnold is only 24 years old.
