Chris Sutton predicts bbc sport Arsenal will beat Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium in north London this weekend in the Premier League.
The former Chelsea striker believes Arsenal will get all three points in their 2-0 win over Crystal Palace.
However, BBC Sport pundits have warned Arsenal they cannot be complacent about the Eagles.
Chris Sutton predicts Arsenal vs Crystal Palace
Sutton wrote: “On paper you might think it was a straight home win, but that rarely happens when Arsenal play Crystal Palace.
“In the last four visits, the Eagles have not been beaten at the Emirates, three draws and one win.
“Palace have been winless for a long time and even missed a shot on target for a while, but I’m not worried about them going down.
“They still have to play all eight teams behind them at the top of the table and they scored 16 of 24 points against them earlier in the season.
“The question here is whether Crystal Palace can hold on and they showed against Manchester City last weekend that they are not prone to collapse – until the 78th minute when City scored from the penalty spot.
“So, it’s not going to be easy for the Gunners – they have to watch the counter-attack too – but I still expect them to win.
“Their focus has to be on this game, not the Europa League. Normally I would advocate playing every game, but not now because the finish line of the title race is in sight.
“Winning this game, Arsenal are eight points ahead in April with 10 games to go. It’s huge for them when they go home and I think at least one of their players will come forward again And out to make sure it happens.
“Sutton’s prediction: 2-0.”
HITC verdict: Arsenal will win London derby
We think Arsenal will win this weekend’s London derby against Crystal Palace.
Yes, the Gunners suffered a Europa League disappointment on Thursday night, but the north London club are flying in the Premier League.
Arsenal are currently at the top of the Premier League table and could win the title.
Crystal Palace are fighting for survival in the Premier League and have just sacked Patrick Vieira as their manager.
The Eagles are underwhelming in 2023 and we don’t think they will suddenly step up their game and beat Arsenal.
Now, of course, we don’t expect Arsenal to simply crush the Eagles, but the Gunners should get the job done in the end.
