ATM 2023 to host 34,000 participants from over 150 destinations –

The 30th edition of the Arabian Travel Market is expected to welcome more than 34,000 participants from over 150 destinations as tourism and hospitality professionals from around the world open their registration for the Travel Market at the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) in May 1 to 4.

The 30th edition of ATM, themed ‘Towards Net Zero Emissions’, will provide a forum for industry leaders and policy makers in the Middle East and beyond to discuss the challenges and opportunities associated with a sustainable tourism future.

Danielle Curtis, ME Exhibition Director, Arabian Travel Market, said: “We are delighted to officially open registration for the 30th edition of ATM, which will focus on the sustainability of our industry and how regional policymakers can drive decarbonisation and enhance customer experience while maximizing profitability .

“This year’s conference program will include a variety of sessions exploring innovations and best practices related to environmental, social and governance (ESG),” added Curtis. “We expect to welcome more than 34,000 public and private sector participants from around the world of travel, tourism and hospitality industry experts at ATM 2023 – including more than 1,500 exhibitors and delegates from over 150 destinations – making it the perfect platform for relationship building and knowledge sharing that will drive tangible, sustainable change.”

The ATM 2023 conference program was created specifically to address sustainability issues in the travel industry, with commentary from leading figures representing various industries including destinations, travel technology, aviation, cruise, investment, recruitment, hotels and hospitality.

There will also be sessions devoted to key source markets, including India and Saudi Arabia. Additionally, ATM will see the return of the ATM Startup Competition, this year seven innovative travel start-ups will compete on stage with expert judges and an audience to showcase their solutions impacting travel sustainability and recovery.

Following the official launch of the Net Zero Tour, the conference program will explore how innovative sustainable travel trends may evolve, allowing delegates to identify growth strategies for key verticals, while providing a platform for regional experts to explore a sustainable future ahead of COP28, It will be held in Dubai Expo City in November 2023.

To mark its 30th annual event, ATM and its organizer, RX Global, will unveil a dedicated sustainability commitment with 30 goals that will inform the show’s decarbonization journey.

Combined with sustainability guidelines for exhibitors and delegates, this commitment will also help ensure that this year’s ATM edition will be the most sustainable in history.

For the first time, the Best Stand Award will also feature a sustainability category. Exhibiting organizations will be recognized based on how well they consider the environmental impact of their booth and their efforts to reduce their carbon footprint.

ATM 2023 is co-hosted with Dubai World Trade Center with strategic partners including Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) as Destination Partner, Emirates as Official Airline Partner, IHG Hotels & Resorts as Official Hotel Partner and Al Rais Travel as Official DMC Partner.

The show is an integral part of Arabian Tourism Week, a 10-day festival of tourism activities.
