Atiku’s victory will appease Igbo nation ― Anambra PDP –

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar winning the presidential race in the upcoming general election will appease the South East.

Anambra State Atiku-Okowa Presidential Campaign Director General (DG) Professor Obiora Okonkwo revealed this in Oka on Tuesday, saying that Atiku Abubakar’s victory would be enough to appease the southeast and restore the country towards stability.

According to him, after Atiku becomes president, the turmoil in the southeast and other parts of the country will be history.

He said the country’s problems were due to the central government’s failure to resolve national issues and continued to threaten the unity of the country and affect the southeast and the country’s economy.

Okonkwo called for more support for the PDP’s presidential candidate, insisting that Atiku’s presidency will restructure the country and stabilize our democracy from its inception.

At the Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) of more than 160 Atiku support groups in Anambra state, Okonkwo reminded them that what matters most to the southeast at this time is true federalism and a liberalized economy, which Atiku has It was central to raising issues in his campaign and manifesto.

According to him, a presidency in southeast Nigeria is achievable in the near future; but the Igbo people need to be strategic and form the necessary alliances.

“Our Founding Fathers, Nnamdi Azikiwe and Alex Ekwueme, said that given the political complexity we have in Nigeria, no single region can win the presidency alone, so a coalition is needed and we must start cultivating this coalition with the support of Atiku Abubakar.

Atiku win is likely to solve our problems, Nigerians want PDP back in power, South East better align strategically and use Atiku Abubakar’s imminent win to solve all problems in the region.

It is also worth noting that Ifeanyichukwu Okowa, an Igbo from the Delta state, is running alongside Atiku Abubakar, with the southeastern interest in the election.

Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president and well-known in the country’s political circles, is the most qualified, experienced and respected contender in this race. So far, only Atiku has promised to restructure Nigeria and decentralize the regions, and given his track record and identity as a pan-Nigerian, we have no doubts that he will keep his word. We, ndi-Igbo, found Atiku attractive as he was our in-law with a keen interest in the South East. Okonkwo added.

Atiku Abubakar is expected to win in Anambra and South East as the state’s Presidential Governing Council is determined to win in the state as always,” he said.

He said the task of saving and restoring Nigeria was sacrosanct to Nigerians of all races and the South East was not to be missed.
