Gemma Owen, a Love Island beauty, has revealed that her famous father has given her carte blanche on the dating show.
When Love Island season eight begins on Monday, June 6, the brunette beauty will be entering the infamous Villa as the daughter of legendary England player Michael Owen and his wife Louise Bonsall.
When the show premieres, Gemma, 19, has admitted that she won’t hold back from having a good time for the sake of her parents – but she still has her own personal boundaries.
When it came to things like getting intimate on TV, Michael, the international dressage star and business owner, told her to “make her own decisions.”
Michael, Gemma’s famous father, hasn’t given her any guidelines, she claims.
“They haven’t given me any rules, which is really nice,” she told the Daily Star.
“I believe they believe in my abilities. I’ve never given them an excuse to refuse.
“I’m not going to tell you what you can and can’t do,’ my father said to me. It is entirely up to you to make this decision. You are free to make your own decisions, but I am very close to my family, and I would never do anything to intentionally offend or humiliate them.”
Gemma, on the other hand, intends to keep her parents’ feelings in mind as the summer unfolds at the Villa.

“They haven’t said you can or can’t do this,” she continued, “but I’m well aware of what might make them uncomfortable, so I’ll keep that in mind.”
“I am open to finding love, and I’m wanting to have a really fun summer,” Gemma said about why she decided to apply for Love Island.
“I was dating someone, but it didn’t work out, so I figured, ‘Why not?’”
Gemma is hoping to find love over the summer
“I would say I’m fun, flirty, and fiery,” Gemma says of herself, adding that she is “very honest” and a “good person to talk to.”
“I think I’m good at giving advice, I’m a pleasant person to talk to, and I’m straightforward.”
“I’d do it in a nice respectful manner if I wanted the same guy.”
On Monday, June 6 at 9pm, Love Island premieres on ITV2.
